So this is a book I reviewed recently-ish. I read through the review and was pretty underwhelmed by my writing but hopefully I will get better with practice in the future. I am typically not this verbose but I guess I had a lot of thoughts about this one. Also there are major spoilers in here but it was published 78 years ago so come on !!......you've been warned:

Rebecca is about a young girl who is a paid companion to a gauche-older-wealthy woman visiting Monte Carlo. They meet a recently widowed-middle aged-Englishman, Maxim de Winter, and the companion (she is never given a name and for purposes of not writing "the narrator" over and over again in this review I'm going to call her Gwendolyn, after my cat)
